Lanes is hiring now for a range of roles within our Swindon depot, including engineering, professional driver and office-based vacancies. Lanes Group is recruiting across field and office-based roles at our Swindon site, where we support major infrastructure contracts for domestic and commercial clients across Wiltshire and southern England.
Our Swindon depot is a key part of our partnership with Thames Water, the UK’s largest water supplier. Working in tandem with our Slough utility hub, the team helps manage thousands of drainage and wastewater maintenance tasks each week - including septic tank cleaning, flood control and urgent customer support.
From field roles like jetting, lining and CCTV surveying, to coordinating projects and clients from the office, every role contributes to delivering effective services, on time and to the highest standards. You'll be trained on-site, given access to cutting edge tools and tech, and encouraged to develop your knowledge and career.
If you're ready to join a company where your working hours are respected, your skills are valued and your development is supported, Lanes' Swindon hub is a great place to build your future.
Our HGV driver/operator positions are ideal for experienced drivers looking for something beyond the usual route work. You’ll operate powerful jet vac vehicles, carry out essential drainage maintenance and support on-site tasks directly.
This role combines hands-on field work with customer service, giving you the chance to attain qualifications, gain practical experience and work alongside a skilled and friendly team. Shifts typically include Monday-to-Friday daytime work with optional overtime depending on contract type.
Roles include:
We’re looking for qualified and assistant-level drainage engineers and operatives to help survey, repair and unblock systems for homes and businesses. You’ll use the latest high-spec CCTV and jetting systems to carry out tasks efficiently and with minimal disruption.
As part of a high-performing drainage team, you’ll be expected to take on tasks independently when required, liaise with customers and deliver results on time on a wide variety of projects. If you're seeking to grow your technical skills, we offer formal qualifications, structured development and career progression into leadership positions.
Roles include:
Our office staff are the ones who keep everything flowing - from job scheduling and logistics to reporting, admin and communication with both the field team and clients. If you are organised, confident with data, and able to manage multiple responsibilities, we’d love to hear from you.
Roles are open to those with experience in admin, HR, customer service, transport coordination or sales. You'll be based on-site in Swindon, working closely with Thames Water and our in-field employees.
Roles include:
