Lanes Group is the UK’s largest privately owned specialist drainage contractor, and our activities in Central London are hugely important to what we do. This is why we’re always looking to expand the highly skilled team at our depot in Rainham, to ensure we’re ready to answer the call when we’re needed by domestic and commercial clients in the capital.

Our Rainham site is home to one of our largest teams of skilled drainage engineers, who are dedicated to tackling drainage and sewage problems, as well as delivering waste management and septic tank maintenance services using the very latest technology.

The depot is also home to our London Rail Division, which works as a multi-disciplined drainage and engineering contractor for the London Underground, and was even chosen to carry out major enabling works for the London 2012 Olympics development in the East End. Who we employ at the Rainham depot

HGV driver/operators

We offer a wide range of driver/operator job vacancies in Rainham, giving qualified HGV operators the chance to expand their skills far beyond the remit of a basic driver role.

Staff who operate our distinctive, state-of-the-art Lanes vehicles will get involved directly in our essential engineering, repair and maintenance work, making use of our top-of-the-range tools and jet vacuumation equipment. They will also be expected to provide responsive customer service to the domestic, commercial, utilities and rail sector clients they are working with.

Prior drainage industry experience is a benefit, but not essential, making this a great opportunity for drivers from other professional backgrounds to retrain in a new and exciting line of work.
