By joining our team in Leicester, you will be trained to help solve drainage problems for domestic and commercial customers across the Leicestershire and Staffordshire regions, as well as offering specialist waste management and tanker services to clients in need. Who we employ at the Leicester utility hub

HGV driver/operators

We entrust our HGV driver/operators in Leicester with a lot more responsibility than a typical professional driving role. Working with Lanes, you will play a crucial role in delivering essential repair and maintenance work for customers, learning to use state-of-the-art equipment and liaising directly with customers.

You will receive extensive training to help you master all of the tasks you will take on when getting behind the wheel of one of our distinctive Lanes vehicles. This will enable you to expand your range of skills, and respond to the needs of our clients across the Leicester region.

These roles do not require prior drainage industry experience, meaning professional HGV drivers from all backgrounds are welcome to apply and embrace a brand new challenge.

Engineers

As one of the biggest employers of drainage engineers in the UK, Lanes Group is always looking for skilled candidates to expand the capabilities of our team in Leicester.

Working with some of the most experienced colleagues in the business, you will be involved in imaging, repairing, and unblocking drains and sewers of all shapes and sizes, utilising sophisticated equipment and travelling across the region.

By joining Lanes as an engineer, you will be able to expand your knowledge and skills, while providing reassurance and top-notch customer service for clients in need.

• CCTV drainage engineers and assistants

Office-based

We wouldn’t be able to do the complex work we do at Lanes without the support of our talented office-based staff. By joining this team, you will be responsible for liaising with customers directly, while providing the frontline field engineers and drivers with the information they need to carry out their responsibilities.

As such, we are looking for candidates with strong people skills, an instinct for organisation, and the ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team. These skills will be essential in helping you build effective relationships with customers and colleagues while solving problems as and when they arise.
