With a depot based in Eastleigh, just north of Southampton city centre, the local team provides a complete range of commercial & residential drain and sewer services for clients who are often based in rural areas. This includes septic tank servicing and installation, as well as flood management and emergency response services to protect residents living near the Test and Itchen rivers.
Since the company was founded in 1992, Lanes have grown from a team of 15 into the UK’s biggest privately-owned drainage contractor, providing national coverage with the help of our 2,200 employees across the UK and Ireland.
Lanes’ Southampton team are always on call and ready to respond to emergency situations at locations along England’s south coast. This includes some unusual jobs - in 2012, our Southampton team was called to survey and repair the drainage system at Marwell Wildlife in Winchester, Hampshire, where the work was overseen by the local monkeys!

We are looking for applicants from a range of locations around the region including:
We are seeking qualified HGV operators to take the wheel of one of our distinctive fleet of Lanes vehicles and fill our Southampton-based driver/operator job vacancies.
These vehicle operator positions are much more than standard driving roles, with direct involvement in essential engineering, drainage clearance, repair and maintenance work. Staff will receive extensive training on the use of our top-of-the-range high-pressure water jetting tools and equipment, and will also be expected to deliver a top-notch customer service experience for clients.
Prior drainage industry experience is beneficial but not essential, which makes this a potentially ideal opportunity for drivers with backgrounds in other sectors to retrain in an exciting new field.
