If you’re looking for drainage jobs in Iver that offer long-term career potential, professional training, and real-world impact, Lanes Group sounds like the right fit for you. We’re the UK’s largest privately owned specialist drainage contractor, and we’re recruiting new team members to join our experienced staff at the Iver operating centre.
Based on the Lakeside Industrial Estate, our Iver site supports planned and emergency drainage services for domestic customers and commercial clients across London and the South East. Working alongside our major Slough, utility hub, we deliver over 1,000 maintenance and repair jobs every day on behalf of Thames Water.
From unblocking drains and carrying out inspections to supporting customers over the phone, our team works together to keep vital infrastructure up and running. If you’re looking for a hands-on driving role, a new engineering challenge or the next step up in your corporate career, you’ll find a variety of permanent opportunities here.
Our Iver operating centre employs people in drainage jobs from all over the region, including:
The Iver facility requires qualified HGV driver/operators to get behind the wheel of one of our distinctive fleet of state-of-the-art Lanes vehicles. Much more varied than a standard driving role, our driver/operators help us carry out our most essential repair and maintenance work, receiving training to perform drainage-related engineering tasks using top-of-the-range equipment.
The high-volume work will see drivers interact with a wide range of customers, including domestic homeowners, business operators or staff in charge of sewage treatment plants. These roles do not necessarily depend on prior drainage industry experience, meaning professional HGV drivers with backgrounds in other sectors are welcome to apply.
As one of the biggest employers of drainage engineers in the UK, Lanes Group is always looking for skilled new candidates to expand our pool of engineering expertise in Iver. These roles involve imaging, repairing and unblocking drains and sewers of all shapes and sizes, working with some of the most sophisticated technology available.
Working alongside talented colleagues, our drainage engineers are responsible for dealing with drainage problems on the frontline and supporting customers in need.
Behind every successful project is our organised and professional depot team. Our office-based staff in Iver coordinate schedules, manage documentation, create reports and keep our customers informed of what is happening.
If you have excellent communication skills and can stay focused in a busy and sometimes chaotic environment, this could be a fantastic opportunity to join a growing company where your contribution matters. We’re particularly keen to hear from applicants with experience in scheduling, administration or customer care.
