Who we employ at the Plymouth depot

HGV driver/operators

At Lanes, our driver/operator job vacancies are different from your average professional driving role. By getting behind the wheel of one of our distinctive Lanes vehicles as an HGV driver/operator, you will be directly involved in the essential engineering, repair and maintenance work we perform, and liaise directly with customers in need.

We are looking for qualified HGV operators to join our Plymouth team, who are keen to take on new responsibilities as they become integral members of our engineering crew. By working with us, you’ll receive in-depth training to make full use of our top-of-the-range tools and equipment. You will also be given plenty of opportunity to interact with a broad range of customers, delivering the top-quality customer service for which we are known.

Prior drainage industry experience is beneficial but not essential for these roles, making them ideal for professional drivers from other backgrounds to retrain and explore an exciting new career pathway.

Roles include:

Engineers

By taking on one of our Plymouth engineering roles, you will be joining a highly skilled and efficient team as they work to survey, repair and unblock drains across the south west.

Our engineers work with the most sophisticated technology available as they handle domestic and commercial projects of all sizes and scopes, delivering effective solutions within demanding timescales.

We invest heavily in training our highly skilled engineers, meaning that you will have plenty of opportunity to expand your abilities and enhance your professional credentials over the course of your career with us.

We are looking for new excavation operatives to join our Plymouth team, and have plenty of groundwork opportunities for candidates with an affinity for physical outdoor work, and the ability to work as part of a team.

By joining our team, you will be working alongside dedicated, skilled colleagues to carry out excavations as efficiently as possible, minimising the disruption for the resident or property owner and supporting the work of our drainage engineers.
