Our Mansfield site is one of a number of satellite offices that works in conjunction with our larger Stafford utility hub, which operates exclusively under a contract with the infrastructure support service provider Amey. Through this partnership, we work in support of local water supplier Severn Trent Water, which serves around 4.5 million households and businesses.
From drain cleaning and repair services for homes and businesses to septic tank servicing, flood management and specialist waste management, we do it all. As such, we rely heavily on our highly skilled Mansfield team to deliver our many services with friendliness and efficiency.

At Lanes, becoming an HGV driver/operator means much more than a simple driving job. In addition to driving one of our vehicle fleet, you will be responsible for getting involved directly in essential engineering work, while interacting with customers on the ground.
This means that these roles offer much more variety and responsibility than a typical position in this field. You will receive extensive training to provide you with all the skills you will need, including learning how to operate our state-of-the-art equipment and carry out drain repair techniques, as well as getting up to speed on the basics of great customer service.
Prior drainage industry experience is useful but not essential for those taking on one of these roles, making them a great opportunity for professional HGV drivers from all backgrounds who are looking to embrace a new challenge.
