We employ more than 900 wastewater engineers and support staff servicing the Thames Water contract, operating more than 350 specialist drainage vehicles and tackling more than 1,000 maintenance jobs every day. Our Beckton-based employees make a vital contribution to this effort, using state-of-the-art equipment to serve the needs of domestic and commercial customers in the London area and beyond.

We offer a wide range of HGV driver/operator job vacancies in Beckton, and are always on the lookout for qualified HGV operators to help us carry out our essential repair and maintenance work.
These roles are much more varied than a standard professional driving job, with operators expected to get directly involved in the drainage and engineering work itself, using the top-of-the-range equipment mounted on our state-of-the-art Lanes vehicles. The high-volume work could involve visits to homes, business premises or even sewage treatment plants.
Importantly, this kind of work does not necessarily depend on prior drainage industry experience, as professional drivers with backgrounds in other sectors will receive the training they’ll need to succeed.
