Our Chertsey office is a satellite depot for our Slough utility hub, which serves the needs of both domestic and commercial customers across Surrey, London and the South East. 

The Slough hub, along with our wider network of local South East depots, employs more than 900 wastewater engineers and support staff, utilising state-of-the-art equipment as the exclusive wastewater network maintenance partner to Thames Water.

Who we employ at the Chertsey depot

HGV driver/operators

We are looking for HGV operators to take the wheel of our distinctive fleet of top-of-the-range Lanes vehicles. You would be directly involved in carrying out essential engineering, repair and maintenance work in a variety of rewarding and wide-ranging roles. 

Our driver/operator jobs don’t necessarily require previous experience in the drainage industry - making them extremely appealing to professional drivers from other sectors looking for a new challenge in a stable and exciting industry. 

Roles include:

• Tanker drivers
• HGV drivers
• Jet vac operators

Engineers

Lanes Group is one of the largest employers of drainage engineers in Britain, with many serving the Slough depot as we strive to offer the best possible standards of service to millions of customers in the region. 

These dynamic roles see our skilled drainage engineers working with some of the most sophisticated technology out there to image, repair and unblock drains and sewers of all shapes and sizes.

You will be the first friendly face our customers see in their time of need, solving drainage problems that will have a huge positive impact on their daily lives. 

Roles include:

• CCTV drainage engineers and assistants
• Drainage engineers and assistants
• Jetting engineers and assistants
• Lining engineers

Office-based

To make everything work in perfect harmony on such a large scale, we need the brightest and best office-based staff to help pull the strings. 

In these roles, our highly organised and professional employees work tirelessly to provide our field engineers with all of the insight they need to get rapidly evolving emergency situations under control as quickly as possible.

Our office-based jobs are perfect for those who have strong relationship-building skills, and are able to work closely with colleagues while building a rapport with customers at the same time. 

We offer flexible shift arrangements, including 4-on-4-off working patterns, and early and late shifts from Monday to Friday.
