The driver/operator job vacancies we offer in Preston are much more than standard driving jobs, and we are always on the lookout for candidates ready to take on the challenge of manning one of our distinctive Lanes vehicles.
In these roles, qualified HGV operators will get involved directly in engineering, repair and maintenance work on a day-to-day basis, while also interacting with clients to deliver high-quality customer service.
Staff will receive comprehensive training on the use of our top-of-the-range tools and equipment, so prior drainage industry experience is not essential for drivers with the right qualifications. Our engineering team in Preston are responsible for imaging, repairing and unblocking drains and sewers of all shapes and sizes across the region, working with some of the most sophisticated technology available. These are highly skilled roles, and staff will also need to be able to provide reassurance to customers in need when necessary.

Many of our drainage projects require renovation and excavation work, whether this involves a minor excavation of an individual pipe or a large-scale project that requires hundreds of tonnes of material to be moved. Our groundworkers and small civils workers are in charge of making sure this is done as efficiently as possible.
Our excavation projects can be complex and physically demanding, with a key focus on minimising any potential disruption for the resident or property owner. Candidates will therefore need to be able to work intelligently and efficiently, with a strong affinity for physical work.
